 How to Sleep Tight This morning. For call center agents.

Having a lack of sleep will ruin your whole day. That is true. Coffee helps but your health will be at stake if you continues waking up every day with a lack of sleep.  Your daily attitude to life and work will get affected.

You will get easily pissed and having no interest to daily task or opportunities that you may encounter. Being a call center agent, our work schedule is a big factor for us to deprive our sleep.

This week we work at night and the next week we shift to  morning schedule. The body clock can never adjust if your work is set to this kind of schedule. Let me provide you some tips on how to get a great sound sleep and helps your body adjust to weekly changes of schedule.

Get to bed as early as possible 

If your job requires you to be present at 10.00 AM until 7:00 PM, then you need to count 8-9 hours back starting from 10:00 AM so you need to be on the the bed by 11:00 PM - 12:00 AM. 

If you want to get 8 hours of sleep, then you need to calculate you hours on bed. 8 hours + 1 1/2 hours. You need to include 1 1/2 hours in addition to 8 hours. 1 1/2 hours serves as your trying to sleep time.  

Sleeping tools

Sleeping at night really helps to give you a deep rest. But if your work schedule is at night and your sleeping time is on morning then you need to find ways to cover your entire room to make it dark.

Buy a black curtain, black colors can hinder the sunlight outside. Having a black clothe eye covering also really add up to the darkness of your room.

If you are in a surrounding where your room is close to highways then you may want to buy an ear covering. The ear covering needs to be lightweight so you can easily shift your body while sleeping.


Spend a small dime to buy an aroma for your room. Aroma relaxes your brain and makes you feel like you are in a breezy forest with river water flowing smoothly. Before going to bed, splatter some aroma in your room.

Listen to sounds of river, ocean and birds 

Well, you are fortunate if your home is close to these natures but if not, then you need to find ways to make your room sound and feel like you are in a beach.

You can go to Youtube and download some sound of relaxing ocean or birds chirping or smooth rain and convert it to mp3 and upload it to your IPod. Now, you can fake your mind that you are lying in the ocean by hearing its sound in your IPod while trying to get to sleep.

Do not drink too much before you sleep 

If you drink too much, your urine movement may hinder you to catch up sleep. If you drink too much before bedtime, you will then need to wake up after an hour to go pee. So avoid drinking too much.

Melatonin Helps 

Some of the main reason why you cannot sleep is that you are thinking too much about the past or what you are going to do in the future. Sometimes you cannot control your mind to stop thinking.

You may force yourself to stop thinking for a minute but you will still think again after an hour. Melatonin helps relax your mind and gives you the feeling of sleep.

This is one of the powerful sleeping pills nowadays. You can take 1-2 tables 1 hour before you sleep. You can buy melatonin to your trusted drugstore.
