4. Food Supplements: Fish Oil and Boswellia

Fish oil can be a supplement to a person's meal containing anti-inflammatory factor.  Thus, it helps to inhibit the progression of autoimmune disease irritating the colon initially. Again, although there's no conclusive result to this, it still shows some promising results to many clients with ulcerative colitis.

On the other hand, Boswellia herb has been long used in Ayurvedic medicine. Boswellic acid helps in the treatment of asthma and also inflammatory condition. Honestly, except from healthy clean water, other fluids can trigger irritating the bowel. Thus, it is very important to know that most of the beverages have to be avoided to reduce the risk of remission. 

It is advised to avoid coffee and cola which contain caffeine that triggers the disease process. Alcohol must be avoided as well. For people with lactose intolerance, proper selection of milk product, lactose free if possible, is very crucial as the condition may get worst when diarrhea was triggered. In contrast, one can have an unsweetened juice but must be less frequent, to be safe.

6. Food you should avoid

Basically, this is not part of the diet plan, but it is good to know what food that must be avoided. These include beans, nuts, seeds, corn, fatty meat, spices, creamy food and chocolate.
